Simon

Simon, a First Class Officer of the Merchant Navy, has sailed for about twenty years. He has been Commander and Mission Leader on offshore working vessels – cable ships – for installations and repairs of fiber optic telecom cables in many regions of the world as well as in the demanding environment of the oil industry.

His training also allowed him to serve as Chief Mechanic on these same vessels as well as on bulk carriers and passenger ships of the NGV type. He participated in several shipbuilding projects (cable ships, seismic vessels, and bulk carriers) with a well-known French shipowner – Louis Dreyfus Armateurs.

New construction and conversion projects carried out in Europe and Asia. He joined Experts & Consultants in 2014.

Since 2014, he has been associated with Jean Marc at Experts et Consultants, acting as a technical expert for shipowners, lawyers, and insurers in the areas of hull and machinery, P&I, cargo, and other maritime and industrial fields.

Nicolas

Former captain 1st class of the maritime navigation,, graduate of a Master’s degree in business strategy from Paris X University.

Nicolas held the position of Technical Director of the former SNCM and the France Ferries company, then General Director of Sud Matériaux, a company specializing in the maintenance and installation of high-speed, medium-speed and low-speed marine engines.

Jean Marc

Jean Marc holds a Master’s degree in mechanical engineering & physics.

He had the opportunity to work in ship repair yards. 

Then he completed a merchant navy course as a first class officer for 10 years, with experience on cruise and passenger ships, then salvage operations. In 2009 he took over Experts et Consultants (a diagnostics company) and has since acted as a technical consultant and expert for major maritime disaster cases.

Philippe MALTRET

Partner, C1NM, having sailed in the roles of Lieutenant – Assistant Engineer and Second Engineer on Ferries and ROPAX.
Responsible for the Fuel and Lubricant Spare Parts Service at SNCM.
Senior Superintendent in charge of managing multiple ships as well as coordinating superintendency and SNCM’s engineering office.
Forty years of experience in the maritime industry, both in navigation and in ship maintenance, repair, and construction.

Emmanuel LEFEUVRE

Based near Nantes, Chairman of sister company ECA Atlantique, C1NM, former Technical Director of the MN company.

Creation

The company was created in Marseille due to the important needs of ship owners and industrialists in terms of studies, advice, guidance and monitoring concerning their tools in the maritime and industrial field, whether owned, chartered or under construction. .

Experience and expertise

Strongly established in the maritime and port sector, mastering national and international regulations and having a solid network, ECO has already brought its experience and expertise to several shipowners and equipment manufacturers. Our services relate to the assessment of heavily damaged units, re-engineering projects, environmental monitoring, regulatory audits, drafting of work specifications, reflagging of vessels, new builds, sales/purchases or for rental.
